Dr. Christensen, known as “Dr. C,” loves orthodontics! He has dedicated nearly half his life to studying dentistry and orthodontics, and his dream was to open Christensen Orthodontics here in South Jordan. He is proud to call the office his “home away from home,” where he uses the experience he has gained since beginning his orthodontic career in 2014 to create beautiful, healthy smiles.

After graduating from Highland High School in Salt Lake City, he went on to play college basketball for BYU and earned a degree in biology. Following his college education, he graduated magna cum laude from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. After spending one year as a general practice resident at the University of Utah Hospital, Dr. C earned a Master of Science in Dental Medicine and completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Colorado.

Dr. C has treated more than 10,000 orthodontic cases involving children, teens and adults. His experience includes early treatment, traditional and self-ligating braces, clear aligners, orthodontic relapse, and complex dental and skeletal concerns. He has also completed more than 1,000 hours of continuing education, with approximately 90% focused on orthodontics, including advanced education in adult and surgical orthodontics, digital treatment planning and orthodontic technology.

Dr. C is an orthodontic specialist and has published multiple peer-reviewed articles on enamel preservation during orthodontic treatment and the etiology of oral cancer. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association.

Dr. C is a loving husband and father of four children who resides in the South Jordan community. When he is not in the office, he enjoys golf, coaching basketball and playing the guitar. He especially loves spending time with his family. Dr. C is also fluent in Spanish.
